BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL OF THESE TERMS, DO NOT ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE.
We reserve the right to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these Terms at any time. It is your responsibility to check these Terms periodically for changes. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you:
- Are at least 13 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
- Are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
- Will use the Service in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION
3.1 Account Creation
To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and any activities or actions under your account. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
3.3 Third-Party Authentication
You may register and log in using third-party accounts (e.g., Google). By using third-party authentication, you authorize us to access certain information from your third-party account as permitted by that service and your privacy settings.
4. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
4.1 Service Overview
Get2Cooking is a food product scanning and information service that allows users to:
- Scan product barcodes to retrieve product information
- View ingredient analysis and health scores
- Identify potentially concerning ingredients
- Compare US and EU food regulations
- Track products and create shopping lists
- Access dietary and allergen information
4.2 Information Accuracy
Product information is sourced from third-party databases, including Open Food Facts, and may not always be complete or accurate. THE SERVICE PROVIDES INFORMATION FOR EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT INTENDED AS MEDICAL, NUTRITIONAL, OR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.
4.3 Health and Medical Disclaimer
THE SERVICE DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. The ingredient analysis, health scores, and allergen information provided through the Service are for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
ALWAYS:
- Read product labels carefully
- Consult with a qualified healthcare provider before making decisions about your health
- Verify allergen information directly from product manufacturers
- Seek immediate medical attention for allergic reactions
We do not guarantee that the Service will identify all allergens, harmful ingredients, or health concerns associated with any product.
5. USER CONDUCT
5.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
- Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
- Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the Service
- Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Collect or harvest any personally identifiable information from the Service
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written consent
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices from the Service
- Create derivative works based on the Service
- Frame or mirror any part of the Service without our written consent
5.2 User Content
If you submit, upload, or otherwise make available any content through the Service ("User Content"), you:
- Retain ownership of your User Content
- Grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt, publish, display, distribute, and otherwise use your User Content in connection with operating, improving, and promoting the Service
- Understand that community recipe submissions may be visible to other users by default once published
- Represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license
- Agree that your User Content will not violate any third-party rights
5.3 Moderation and Takedown
We may review, moderate, remove, or restrict User Content at our discretion to enforce these Terms, comply with legal obligations, or protect the Service and its users. If you believe content infringes your rights, contact legal@get2cooking.com.
5.4 Feedback
Any feedback, comments, suggestions, or ideas you provide regarding the Service ("Feedback") will become our exclusive property. We may use Feedback for any purpose without compensation or attribution to you.
6. SUBSCRIPTION AND PAYMENT
6.1 Free and Premium Tiers
The Service offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Premium features may include:
- Unlimited scan history
- Advanced shopping lists
- Priority support
- Additional features as described on the Service
6.2 Billing
If you purchase a premium subscription:
- You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
- Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- All fees are non-refundable except as expressly set forth herein or required by law
6.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:
- You will continue to have access to premium features until the end of your current billing period
- No refunds will be provided for partial billing periods
- Your account will revert to the free tier at the end of the billing period
6.4 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Price changes will be communicated in advance and will apply to the next billing cycle following notice.
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
7.1 Ownership
The Service and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, graphics, logos, and design) are owned by Get2Cooking, its licensors, or other providers and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
7.2 Limited License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. This license does not include:
- Any resale or commercial use of the Service
- Any collection and use of product listings, descriptions, or prices
- Any derivative use of the Service or its contents
- Any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant
- Any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering tools
7.3 Trademarks
"Get2Cooking," the Get2Cooking logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Get2Cooking or its affiliates. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission.
8. THIRD-PARTY CONTENT AND SERVICES
8.1 Third-Party Data
The Service incorporates data from third-party sources, including Open Food Facts. We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or availability of third-party data.
8.2 Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party websites or services.
8.3 Third-Party Terms
Your use of third-party services through the Service may be subject to additional terms and conditions. You agree to comply with any applicable third-party terms.
9. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT
- WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE
- WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY CONTENT
- WARRANTIES THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED
- WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE OR THE SERVERS ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- PRODUCT INFORMATION IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT
- ALLERGEN INFORMATION WILL IDENTIFY ALL ALLERGENS
- HEALTH SCORES ACCURATELY REFLECT THE HEALTHFULNESS OF ANY PRODUCT
- THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR EXPECTATIONS
YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR DEVICE OR LOSS OF DATA.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
10.1 IN NO EVENT SHALL GET2COOKING, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES
- PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE
- UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR DATA
- STATEMENTS OR CONDUCT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE
- ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SERVICE
10.2 IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
- THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM
- ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100)
10.3 THE LIMITATIONS OF THIS SECTION APPLY WHETHER THE ALLEGED LIABILITY IS BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER BASIS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
10.4 SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
11. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Get2Cooking, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your use of the Service
- Your User Content
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party
12. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
12.2 Informal Resolution
Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@get2cooking.com. We will try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting you via email. If a dispute is not resolved within 30 days of submission, you or we may bring a formal proceeding.
12.3 Arbitration Agreement
YOU AND GET2COOKING AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE, CLAIM, OR CONTROVERSY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL BE RESOLVED BY BINDING ARBITRATION, RATHER THAN IN COURT, except that:
- You may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify
- Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court for infringement of intellectual property rights
12.4 Class Action Waiver
YOU AND GET2COOKING AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
12.5 Arbitration Procedures
Arbitration will be administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures. The arbitration will be conducted in English, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.
13. TERMINATION
13.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature in the Service or by contacting us at support@get2cooking.com.
13.2 Termination by Us
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including:
- Breach of these Terms
- Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Non-payment of fees
- Extended periods of inactivity
- Request by law enforcement or government agency
- Discontinuation or material modification of the Service
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
- We may delete your account and User Content
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive (including ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability)
14. GENERAL PROVISIONS
14.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Get2Cooking regarding the Service.
14.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
14.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of such right or provision.
14.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.
14.5 Notices
We may provide notices to you via email, posting on the Service, or other reasonable means. You may provide notices to us at legal@get2cooking.com.
14.6 Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, government action, or failure of third-party services.
14.7 Headings
The headings in these Terms are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect.

- ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SERVICE
10.2 IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
- THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM
- ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100)
10.3 THE LIMITATIONS OF THIS SECTION APPLY WHETHER THE ALLEGED LIABILITY IS BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER BASIS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
10.4 SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
11. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Get2Cooking, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your use of the Service
- Your User Content
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party
12. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
12.2 Informal Resolution
Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@get2cooking.com. We will try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting you via email. If a dispute is not resolved within 30 days of submission, you or we may bring a formal proceeding.
12.3 Arbitration Agreement
YOU AND GET2COOKING AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE, CLAIM, OR CONTROVERSY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL BE RESOLVED BY BINDING ARBITRATION, RATHER THAN IN COURT, except that:
- You may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify
- Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court for infringement of intellectual property rights
12.4 Class Action Waiver
YOU AND GET2COOKING AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
12.5 Arbitration Procedures
Arbitration will be administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures. The arbitration will be conducted in English, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.
13. TERMINATION
13.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature in the Service or by contacting us at support@get2cooking.com.
13.2 Termination by Us
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including:
- Breach of these Terms
- Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Non-payment of fees
- Extended periods of inactivity
- Request by law enforcement or government agency
- Discontinuation or material modification of the Service
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
- We may delete your account and User Content
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive (including ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability)
14. GENERAL PROVISIONS
14.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Get2Cooking regarding the Service.
14.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
14.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of such right or provision.
14.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.

We may provide notices to you via email, posting on the Service, or other reasonable means. You may provide notices to us at legal@get2cooking.com.
14.6 Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, government action, or failure of third-party services.
14.7 Headings
The headings in these Terms are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect.
